Stop 1
Leave Bentota before sunrise or early morning and begin the climb into the central highlands.
Stop 2
Stop at the dramatic roadside waterfall before entering Ella.
Stop 3
Walk to the famous stone railway bridge surrounded by jungle and tea country. Train crossings depend on the railway schedule.
Stop 4
Take a relatively easy hike to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Ella Gap and surrounding ridges.
Stop 5
Relax for lunch and a short walk through Ella before traveling back through changing mountain and lowland scenery to Bentota.
